“Right from our initial booking enquiry with Ravi, through to our travels in Kerala, our experience with was smooth, practical and tailored so well to our individual needs. All our guides on the our trip were excellent, always on time as arranged, full of local knowledge, and passionate delivering their tours to us. Our trip included such a variety of experiences, from walking city tours, a street food tour, houseboat stay and hiking a mountain. Special mentions to tour guides Saji, our fabulous guide in Kochi, also Sunil in Kochi, and Muthu in Madurai. As well as our guide in Kumarakom whose knowledge was fabulous in explaining all about the Backwaters and the local area. We have to highlight our fabulous driver, Roy, who greeted us each morning with a wonderful smile and drove us safely through India’s mad and busy weaving traffic! He seamlessly coordinated with all our guides to meet on each day and made our trip a real pleasure. Thank you, we will recommend you on to friends and family, and hope to use you again.”

“I had a pleasure to finding Insight Guides totally by accident and decided to use them during my travels in India. We have been matched with a fantastic Amit and his company, who has then created a bespoke itinerary for me and my friend, and adjusted our stay to a shorter period of time (as we were there for the wedding and using the rest of the week to travel around). As we were 2 women travelling by ourselves, I can now safely say, we wouldn't be able to do it without the travel operator. “We've used Insight Guides now three times (more to come) and I'll be rating this third time. It was an 8 day trip for 5 to Belgium and The Netherlands. Our travel coordinator Valentine was exceptional. We spent a few communications back and forth to discuss ideas and durations in each country. A tweak here and there with great suggestions for things we hadn't thought of. All communication was clear. In the end - it was flawless. In particular, the lodging in both locations was amazing - central location for either walking or hopping a bus/tram or a train as needed, for restaurants too. She arranged private tours for the 5 of us and every tour guide was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and tailored things to us as we went. Each one contacted us a few hours before our meeting time (via WhatsApp) to ensure a smooth meet-up. She pre-purchased our train tickets. All trip information came in a lovely PDF prior to the trip with imbedded links we could access as the trip progressed. I'll add that 2 of our folks got sick midway and Valentine was able to cancel one of our tour guides and fully refunded that portion of the money. She checked in a day later to see how they were feeling. She also checked in just to make sure we didn't need anything or have any questions. SUPERB!”

Our holiday was a huge success in large part due to Eric's guidance. In particular we valued his recommendations of out-of-the-way spots that we could never have found otherwise. When we reported this on our return, it was dealt with prompt reimbursement of a payment made. Our spec was a trip to the Westfjords off the beaten track using local services where possible. “Rough Guides partnered with local tourism operators to develop a wonderful exciting itinerary for our group of four. Throughout the trip I had regular communication via WhatsApp and never felt ignored or without a sense of support. This was critically important because several unforeseen setbacks occurred during our trip. A critical flight was canceled that jeopardized our entire itinerary. The Local team worked swiftly and efficiently to figure out the most timely and efficient way for us to get back on our schedule. In Uyuni, I fell and broke my arm. Our local guide and driver were absolutely amazing in caring for me and getting me to the health clinic for care. These are unusual and unexpected setbacks, and I was very appreciative that the entire team at Pure Bolivia and Rough Guides were checking in on me regularly. Normally, I travel and book my travel independently. But this time, I was very glad to have had the concierge support along the way. I will be booking more tours in the future with Rough Guides. ”
