Itinerary #4: India - hidden gems and coastal getaway in Goa
This 14-day itinerary takes you through India's lesser-known wonders, offering a unique mix of culture, nature, and relaxation, ending with the perfect beach getaway in Goa.
You’ll start your journey in Delhi, where day one offers a visit to Mehrauli Archaeological Park, home to ancient tombs and the towering Qutb Minar. Day two lets you explore Hauz Khas Village, a lively neighborhood blending history with local art and culture.
On day three, take a train to Orchha, a quiet town along the Betwa River. Spend day four exploring Orchha Fort, the Chaturbhuj Temple, and attending the evening aarti at Ram Raja Temple.
Day five takes you to Chanderi, a lesser-known medieval town. Here, you’ll discover its beautiful mosques, Chanderi Fort, and learn about the region’s silk weaving tradition.
On day six, head to Mandu, a hilltop town full of ancient ruins. Day seven is spent visiting the Jahaz Mahal, Rani Roopmati’s Pavilion, and taking in stunning valley views.
Day eight brings you to Hampi, where you’ll explore its dramatic ruins, including the Virupaksha Temple and the stone chariot at Vittala Temple. Day nine offers more time to discover Hampi’s surreal landscapes.
From Hampi, travel to Goa on day ten for some well-deserved beach relaxation. Day eleven and day twelve take you to quieter spots like Agonda Beach and spice plantations in Ponda. Explore Portuguese villages like Chandor before visiting the peaceful Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary.
Day thirteen is for unwinding on the beach, before your departure on day fourteen, leaving with memories of India’s hidden treasures and serene coastlines.
