I was born and raised in Guatemala City, a city that has a lot to teach to our visitors. I’m passionate about my country, customer service and travel in general - with a degree in hospitality, I’ve been working in the tourism industry for over 4 years. Today, I try to leave the city at least once a month and travel somewhere else in our beautiful country to rediscover parts and find out more about our history.

Our tour operator is fully locally owned and operated and we contract service providers all over the country directly. We’re proud to be able to offer a wide range of accommodation and transportation services, so no matter if you’re looking to travel with your family and stay in a family suite or are looking for quirky accommodations on the Caribbean coast, we have the right service for you. Besides Spanish, we speak many different local accents and languages in Guatemala, and we therefore focus on providing multilingual guides to help you explore the local lifestyle. Besides Spanish and English our local guides often speak or understand highland accents, granting you access to this part of the population as well.

My tailor-made Guatemalan Adventure trip was AMAZING!!! Our local tour guide Gustavo was exceptional, spoke three languages and made our trip comfortable. He is very knowledgeable and friendly. My husband and I really appreciated getting door-to-door transportation which was always punctual. This allowed us to enjoy a stress-free vacation as we knew we would arrive at our next day's destination promptly and safely. The accommodations were superb. They surpassed our expectations. We have stayed in many 5 star hotels before, but the Colonial authenticity, cleanliness, staff hospitality and the lush green courtyards made us feel like we travelled back in time. We also appreciated that our hot breakfast was included as this permitted us to sleep in a bit later and get much needed rest. All the staff, from Megan, Marcia, Gustavo and all the hotel staff whose names are too many to mention made us feel like family. Going out of their way to accommodate us. Rough Guides anticipates their clientele's needs and then exceeds them.
