The weather in Rome in September is set to be pleasant as summer turns to autumn. Temperatures usually range from mild to warm. During the day, the average temperature ranges from 24 to 28°C (75 to 82°F). In the evening and at night, temperatures can drop to 14 to 18°C (57 to 64°F).

As for the water temperature on the nearby coast, on the Tyrrhenian Sea, in September it usually ranges from 24 to 26°C (75 to 79°F). The sea is still warm and quite favourable for swimming and other water activities.
