I’m an Aussie girl and have been living and working in Uganda for the past fifteen years. Apart from my “regular” day job, I’m also a freelance photographer.

I arrived in Uganda in August 2000 with my husband, after an eight-month overland journey that began in London in December 1999. Travelling by 4x4, we crossed continents and borders, and it was during this journey that I realised the importance of documenting the people and places we encountered — through both photography and writing.
Soon after we reached Uganda, we volunteered to help build a school in Gulu, in the north. When the project was completed, we made the decision to stay — for the foreseeable future — and make Kampala our home, a city that remains one of the best places to visit in Uganda for its creative energy and cultural spirit.
Through travel and documentary photography, my goal is simple: to share the beauty I’ve seen, especially here in Uganda, with others. I see it as a visual gift — something for those who may never get to experience these places in person, but who can still feel their magic through an image.
